Oral motor /orofacial myofunctional therapy for kids cognitively not ready to follow complex directions is called feeding therapy. Feeding issues can be caused by underlying medical, developmental, sensory, and/or emotional factors. Dysphagia for adults includes swallowing rehabilitation.

Orofacial myofunctional disorders affect children, teens, and adults. ​Exercised based therapy for tongue and face muscles involved in breathing, speaking, chewing and swallowing.
